To kick off the month we’re looking at Sojo, a clothing alterations and repairs service with the mission to make fashion circular.

According to Greenpeace, "More than half of clothing given to charity shops or textile recyclers goes to landfill or is incinerated." With Fast Fashion creating huge amounts of waste, companies like Sojo put important value into used or damaged clothing, giving them a new and longer life.

Using the app, simply select the alteration that needs doing. Your item will then be collected and sent to a seamster. Once it’s repaired, it’s dropped back to your doorstep.

They’re currently based in London and cycle to collect and drop each order, but they’re looking to expand in the future. Even if the service isn’t available in your area, the app also offers tutorials to help you alter and repair your clothes from home.

So if you’re London-based and in need of some repairs, or want to learn how to tailor your own clothes, download the Sojo App.
