We're looking forward and excited to see what 2022 has to offer, but we owe our opportunity for growth to our learnings in 2021, a challenging yet memorable year for us.
Early in the year, we launched our first collaboration. The collection was designed at home, sampled over Zoom and then made from scratch in Italy, entirely from locally available materials. This is rarer than you might think.
Behind the scenes, ideas for our first store were starting to take shape. Retail approached differently, something that had been bubbling under the surface for years. And as it turns out, this was a poignant year for that vision to become reality. Retail has been hit hard, shops have closed, but from failure comes learning and from death comes regeneration. It's time for a new approach to retail. One that is more sustainable, more immersive and more adaptable.
As we neared the end of the year, we eventually moved into our new home on Chiltern Street, a reconsidered approach to retail where every single material, fixing and piece of furniture was questioned for its impact and circularity.
Just as we were settling in, the pandemic reared its head once more. Just as the high streets were starting to feel alive with the festive buzz, that COVID gloom dampened our spirits. The past few weeks haven't been what we expected but we are remaining positive for 2022 and taking great pleasure in welcoming people into our very first store.
Despite the obvious, last year was a big year for us and this year is looking to be our biggest yet. We've got some exciting projects, big goals and we're delighted to have you on this journey with us.
So, here's a peek at what's to come over the next 12 months...
