Hi Everyone, we hope you, your families and communities are safe and well. We have created the following blog post to give updates on our business during the Coronavirus Pandemic. If you have any questions or comments please send us an email.
Can you still place orders?
Our Home Try-On service is currently unavailable. This service requires our customers to leave the house or frames to be passed through multiple hands on each journey and this is something that we were not happy with. We want there to be no risks for our customers. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
You can still order Sunglasses and Spectacles via our online store. They will be despatched on the same day if orders are placed before 12pm GMT. Orders placed after 12pm GMT will be despatched the following day.
We are including DPD Next Day Delivery with 1 Hour Time Slot for all UK orders. Each delivery is contact-free and you will be notified via email and via text on the estimated arrival time of your order.
We are carefully following all official guidelines on handwashing and cleanliness when fulfilling orders - ensuring that we use gloves masks and sanitizer at all times. All items that are despatched or returned are cleaned and disinfected before and after being handled by a single member of our team who is in handling picking and packing of orders.
We are in regular contact with all of our suppliers, manufacturers and partners. We are keeping a close eye on our workshop, our products, all our stakeholders and community, and doing everything we can by following all guidance from health officials and governments from around the world. Our biggest focus is ensuring the safest practice for all.
Our way of giving back
Until May 16th we will be donating 20% of all sales revenue to the British Red Cross COVID-19 Response. We're delighted to be doing what we can to help people in need during the crisis. Through your support, British Red Cross can continue to support the nation’s most vulnerable by:
- Scaling up its core, critical services and putting plans in place to respond to the growing COVID-19 outbreak.
- Delivering food and medicine.
- Working in emergency departments to provide psychosocial and practical support and, as a joint priority with the NHS, ensuring rapid, safe discharge from hospitals across the country.
"For over 150 years, the British Red Cross has supported people in the UK in times of crisis. The ongoing, ever-changing situation concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is no exception. Their network of incredible staff and volunteers means we are uniquely placed to reach people in fearful, uncertain times."
Those who do not wish to make a purchase but would still like to donate - please follow the link below which will take you to the correct donation page.
In The Coming Weeks…
If things should change we will of course let you know. Each Monday we will be sharing stories of inspiration and joy on our Instagram page, as well as ways to remain motivated and calm when at home or in isolated situations.
If you have any further questions please as always don’t hesitate to ask.
Sending our best, and wishing safety for all.
