We believe in the traditional design process; When we design a product at MONC we want to combine the fundamentals of product design with the improvisation in fashion. Although our initial design approach is quite conceptual, we apply these fundamental design rules in the development of our products. Finally creating a functional product that's not just comfortable for the user, but also provides a new and exciting look for the wearer.

We've all purchased a pair of sunglasses or glasses at some point in our lives. It's an extremely important moment. Design, feel, quality, fit, weight, colour, whether it hides your eyebrows or shows them off - these are all extremely important decisions.
Most of you will have purchased a pair of sunglasses or spectacle frames in your lifetime, the chances are that they have been made from acetate. We learned in 2017 that around 80% of this petroleum-based material was potentially being wasted or incinerated after every production run.
At MONC we believe in responsible design and championing honesty through quality and craftsmanship. After discovering that 80% of petroleum-based plastic used in eyewear production goes to waste, we decided to challenge the norm by using sustainable materials across the entire eyewear experience.
