Silo is the world’s first zero waste restaurant, and they have taken on a project to turn their waste glass into glass porcelain.

With the help of potter Mark Caivola, they’re able to turn their waste glass into crockery, light displays, tiles and more, closing the loop on single use glass.

You can pre-order a plate, which will be support the next phase in their upcycling plans - to start producing crockery out of the material. Silo are calling it 'glass porcelain' and been busy developing it over the last two years.

Head to the Silo website to check out the amazing work they're doing.
